The Commissions for Women of Montgomery County and Prince George's County, along with our many co-sponsoring organizations, invite you to the 2012 Women's Legislative Briefing. The conference will open with a panel discussion on legislation in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, followed by compelling seminars on legislation in the Maryland General Assembly. A reception will conclude the event providing an opportunity to meet with county and state elected officials, advocates and representatives of the most prominent county, state and national women's organizations.

Montgomery County Commission for Women
The Montgomery County Commission for Women is a 15-member advisory board created by County law in 1972 and charged with the responsibility of advising the County Executive, County Council, the public and the agencies of the county, state and federal government on the issues of concern to women. The Commission's enabling legislation also provides that it develop other services when a need for such services is determined. These seminars on family law are the result of a partnership between the Commission, the Montgomery County Bar Association, Family Law Section, and the Montgomery County Women's Bar Association.
